I’ve never fooled myself that that there’s a high chance of something like Rostra competing with more established projects, and I treat it mostly as an interesting challenge and opportunity to learn and practice some fronted skills/tech.

I’m reaching the point where I’m quite happy with the feature set and how things are working, and my motivation is waning given that there isn’t a lot of users here etc.

One important things that would be easy to implemented is adding attachments and embedded media (as Rostra’s protocol could easily exchange even arbitrarily large files).

But for now I think I’m going to pause my efforts and wait and see if any community ever materializes.
