One thing this list could use is categorization by a type:

  • p2p
  • federated

I know most of the stuff from the list, but some I have not tried in a long time. Any of these that you think are particularly interesting?

SOLID has good pedigree because Tim Berners Lee works on it. But its too complicated; its specification basically is complicated.

Earthstar seems interesting, but I haven’t looked into it in too much detail.

Wormhole is good tech, for file transfer.

The there is nostr. Which I know inside out, because it has very small ‘specification’!
